Butik Festival from A to Z
Here you can find answers to most of your questions about how things work at the Butik Festival. Please read through before attending the festival (or even before buying the ticket) to avoid any misunderstanding and to properly prepare for the best festival experience. Some things are not fixed yet, we will be updating this regularly.

Usually there is an ATM in the festival area. Otherwise there are ATMs in Tolmin town (10 min walk). You can load your festival paycard in cash or with a credit card.
We are happy that this year we will organize five boat experiences in collaboration with five amazing labels and crews.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- We would like to point out that this is not a classic boat experience where you party in the middle of the endless sea, but rather a two-hour musical journey on the beautiful Soča River where you can enjoy music, surroundings, and meet some new friends.
- Boat Experience tickets can only be purchased by Butik festival ticket holders.
- Keep in mind that the embarking takes place in a nearby town, so you will be picked up at the festival site by a bus 45 minutes before the scheduled boat experience.
The parking fee for campervans is 65€ (full festival). If you want parking with electricity, the price is 95€ (see ELECTRICITY for more details). There are only 60 spots for campers with electricity.
It is not possible to put up a tent next to the campers.

**Estate cars (wagon cars) do not count as campervans, so please don't buy the campervan parking if you would like to enter with your car (you will not be able to get in). If you're not sure about your vehicle, feel free to email us at info@butikfestival.com before purchasing.
The camping is open from Wednesday 12.07.2023, 3 PM until Monday, 17.07.2023, 11 AM. Camping from Thursday till Monday is included in every festival ticket. If you want to arrive already on Wednesday see EARLY ARRIVAL.
You're allowed to bring food and drinks to the campsite but not to the festival area.
Petrol power generators are not allowed in the camping area.
There are cold showers in the camping, for hot showers, see HOT SHOWER AND FLUSH TOILETS.
There is drinkable tap water in the campsite - see WATER.
Most of the camping area is located under the trees which is well appreciated during hot summer days. However, keep in mind that it can also get a bit chilly during the night, so bring some warm clothes and a sleeping bag.
Cars are not allowed in the camping area, you can park them in big parking where the festival entrance is - see PARKING.
Every day of the festival you can join some daytime activities (yoga, meditation) for free. The schedule will be published later.
Early arrival is possible from Wednesday, 12.07.2023 at 03 PM. If you arrive on Wednesday, the camp will already be open and ready for first visitors, but you need to purchase an early arrival pass for an extra day of camping.
Not all bars and food venues are operating on the early arrival day.

When you arrive at the festival you need to exchange your ticket for a full festival wristband at the box office.

We only offer electricity plugs for campervans. There is a limited amount of hookups available.

- Every outlet has its own RCD
- The technician is available from 8.00 until 22:00
- Users need to have their own cable, we suggest 50m (better even more!)
Please note that petrol/diesel power generators are NOT ALLOWED in the camp. The noise is disturbing other campers and also inhabitants of Tolmin who live nearby the campsite. Being respectful to the local community is very important in order to keep this festival location.

Please take a minute and read how garbage deposit works and why it is important.
- Garbage deposit is only applicable to those who are staying in the festival camp.
If you are staying in another accommodation, please provide proof of reservation for the apartment/hotel and you won't have to leave a garbage deposit. - If you stay at the campsite, you will receive 2 trash bags.
If you are one of these people who are very good at packing and you brought your own trash bags with you - you are amazing! However, most of us forget about those when we are too excited or maybe we just think that another friend will get it (like toothpaste :)).
This is why we will provide every camper with 2 trash bags at the entrance. You have to leave a 10€ deposit to receive the bags. The deposit will be put on your paycard. This is obligatory. - When you bring your trash back to the garbage center, you will get the deposit back.
Before you leave the festival just bring your trash bags to the garbage center. Are your bags half empty? No problem. But please, put all your trash in the bags and don't leave it lying around. You will get your deposit back as long as you return the trash bags. Don't forget to bring your paycard with you - the deposit will be returned to your paycard. - Why is this SO important?
Butik Festival is taking place in one of the most beautiful festival locations on earth. No joke. It is on the edge of Triglav national park. Festival and campsite areas are under protection. Firstly, we don’t want that at ANY point throughout the festival this magical place looks like a landfill (also one of the reasons why we have reusable plastic cups and cup deposits). This will also make your festival experience so much nicer. And secondly – we want to leave the area spotless after the festival. The local community of Tolmin is very strict when it comes to keeping nature clean (and they should be), so if we do not leave the festival area 100% clean, we might have problems with keeping this festival location.
We hope that with this explanation, you can better understand why we introduced the trash deposit. Some of you already really appreciated this rule last year and we hope that with better understanding the ones who had a negative experience last year will be convinced it is actually something that makes the festival better (and even possible).

Besides cold showers and chemical toilets, the festival also offers a sanitary center with hot showers and flush toilets. Since there is literally no infrastructure on-site, we cannot provide this service for all festival-goers. This is why the sanitary center is available at extra cost.

Wheelchair users or other physically handicapped people who rely on support can bring 1 escorting person to the festival area for free. Please notice that due to lack of space, Butik Festival does not provide a platform for handicapped people in front of the stage, also the beach stages are difficult to approach. Please note that an official medical certificate will be demanded upon your arrival.

There is a limited amount of lockers available. All lockers have an electricity plug inside. You can rent a locker at the info point. Make sure to return the keys before the info point closes.

You can leave things that you have found at the info point. In case you lost something, you can also leave a note there so the staff will be able to contact you if your item is found.

Parking is located next to the main entrance, a 5-minute walk from the camping and festival area.

Dogs and other animals are NOT permitted in the festival or campsite area. Anyone who will try to disobey this rule will be removed from a festival area with revoked access, without any further explanation. Please behave responsibly towards your animal companion and leave them at home (or in any other dog hotel or care, that will provide them the care they need).
Butik Festival is taking place in probably one of the most beautiful festival locations in the world (seriously). So we need to be extra careful when it comes to taking care of the environment. We want to keep the festival site as clean as possible at all times throughout the festival because we would hate to see this beautiful place covered with plastic cups, bottles, and cans. This is why we have plastic cups, bottles, and can deposit (short: cup deposit).
How does it work?
When you buy a drink (in a plastic cup, plastic bottle, or a can), you are charged a cup deposit. You can then exchange the old cup for a new one when you order another drink or leave your cup at the cup deposit station (located next to the paycard loading station) and you will get your deposit back on your paycard.
We are using reusable plastic cups.
If you would like to apply for media accreditation, please click here and fill out the form. Applications for media accreditation for Butik Festival 2023 are open until 15th of June, 2023. We will evaluate all applications and get back to you as soon as possible.
Every visitor participates in the festival at his own risk. Besides, every visitor is obliged to take action for the guarantee of his own safety. The visitor is also responsible for his property. The promoter, Butik Ent. d.o.o., is not liable for any lost or damaged property whatsoever. The promoter is also not liable for violations of the Slovenian law, thievery, injuries, or damages by third parties that happen in course of the festival.
Please follow the instructions of the security personnel and avoid senseless annoying actions so everybody will feel comfortable.
Our partner Markun Shuttle is offering a shuttle service from nearby airports (Venice, Trieste, Ljubljana, Zagreb) to the festival area. If you can't find the slot that suits you, send them an email. If there will be enough inquiries, they will do their best to add new slots. If you have any questions regarding shuttles, please contact Markun Shuttle directly.
Swimming in the river is allowed, but everyone is doing it at their own risk. Festival promoters ensure that there is a professional lifeguard available at the main festival beach area.
We will try to provide taxi service, but there are no regular taxis in the area. We suggest that you try to find accommodation within walking distance from the festival site (make sure to check location on google maps) or stay in the festival site.
As many of you will be flying to Butik and may not be able to bring a tent with you, we have decided to offer the option to rent a tent. Our aim is to discourage people from purchasing tents specifically for the festival and then discarding them afterwards.
Here's how it works:
We will provide tents which will be set up in a pleasant, shaded area before the festival begins. This means that even if you arrive late, you will still have a great camping spot. After the festival, you need not worry about folding up the tent. To secure your tent, we will require a deposit of 50€ which will be returned to you upon your departure, provided that the tent is undamaged. The price of 140€ includes:
- A tent for 2-3 people (180 x 210 cm)
- 2 self-inflatable mats
Please remember to bring your own sleeping bag, as the nights can get quite chilly.

We have an official ticket reselling platform. This is the only safe option to buy tickets! Please do not buy tickets from random people who post their ticket offers on Instagram and Facebook comments.
Are you looking for a ticket?
Check out if there are any tickets available. If you buy it from here, you will get a new ticket with a unique barcode and the seller's ticket will be 'burnt'. This means that you don't have to worry that someone else got the same ticket as you.

If you're interested in volunteering for the Butik festival, please complete the form available on this link. Your information will be added to our database of potential volunteers. We will review all submissions and contact the selected volunteers no later than May 15th. Thank you for your interest in working with us!
At the festival and camp area, running clean water is provided free of charge. Please look for the sign that the water is drinkable before you refill your own bottles (water in Slovenia/Tolmin is very clean, however not all pipes are officially checked before the festival).
Please note that you are not allowed to bring any bottles to the venue area. You need to buy a bottle of water at the bars and after that refill it at the water points as often as you want. Please also note, that once you leave the venue and want to enter the venue again, you will not be allowed to bring the bottles back to the venue area!
