The camping is open from Wednesday 12.07.2023, 3 PM until Monday, 17.07.2023, 11 AM. Camping from Thursday till Monday is included in every festival ticket. If you want to arrive already on Wednesday see EARLY ARRIVAL.
You're allowed to bring food and drinks to the campsite but not to the festival area see PROHIBITED OBJECTS.
Petrol power generators are not allowed in the camping area.
There are cold showers in the camping, for hot showers, see HOT SHOWER AND FLUSH TOILETS.
There is drinkable tap water in the campsite - see WATER.
Most of the camping area is located under the trees which is well appreciated during hot summer days. However, keep in mind that it can also get a bit chilly during the night, so bring some warm clothes and a sleeping bag.
Cars are not allowed in the camping area, you can park them in big parking where the festival entrance is - see PARKING.
At Butik Festival, we're nestled within one of the world's most stunning festival locations. This makes us doubly committed to preserving the environment and keeping our festival site immaculate. We can't stand the thought of such natural beauty being marred by plastic cups, bottles, and cans. Therefore, we've implemented a cup deposit system.
How does it work?
When you purchase a drink (in a plastic cup, bottle, or can), a cup deposit will be charged. When you're ready for another drink, simply exchange your old cup for a new one - this way, you won't be charged another deposit. Alternatively, you can drop your cup off at the cup deposit station (located next to the paycard loading station) to get your deposit refunded to your paycard.
Please remember that your paycard will be charged a 2€ deposit with your "first" drink purchase. For each subsequent drink, you'll need to return your "old" cup to avoid an additional deposit charge. To get your deposit back, bring your empty cups and your paycard to the cup deposit point. The number of empty cups should match the number of deposits charged to your paycard.
You can check how many cups you can return on the slip that you get with each order. If you are not sure where exactly this is written, please ask bartenders or workers at the paycard stations.
We're proud to share that we use reusable plastic cups. They can be washed and reused up to 100 times! This is a significant stride towards reducing festival waste and making Butik Festival more sustainable. Together, we can keep the festival site clean, not just for us, but for the surrounding environment too.
At Butik Festival, we offer a variety of daytime activities to keep you engaged and refreshed. Take a look at our schedule and join in the fun!

Do note that not all bars and food venues will be operational on this early arrival day. And while we're dedicated to getting everything picture-perfect for the festival, there might be some last-minute production work underway throughout the festival area.
Early arrival pre-order: 15€ - Buy ticket here.
Early arrival on site: 25€
Here's a friendly reminder for the early birds: While you might be eager to claim a large camping area for your friends arriving later, this is not permitted. Each attendee should select their camping spot upon arrival.
When you arrive at the festival you need to exchange your ticket for a full festival wristband at the box office. Please note, there will be no name checks on the tickets. Check out our ARRIVAL FLOW for more.
Please note that our box office isn't open 24/7, so make sure to check the specific opening hours before your arrival.
Entrance (box office) opening hours:
Wednesday, July 12th: 15:00 - 00:00
Thursday, July 13th: 08:00 - 00:00
Friday, July 14th: 10:00 - 22:00
Saturday, July 15th: 10:00 - 22:00

Our festival provides electricity hookups exclusively for campervans. Please note that all available hookups have now been sold out. There will be no further availability for this service.
Electricity technical info:
- 230V, 6A each
- Every outlet has its own RCD
Upon arrival, please inform the staff at the entrance if you require assistance with your electricity hookup. They will provide you with the necessary instructions and the technician's contact number. Ensure you have your campervan with electricity ticket ready. You will need to call the technician for the hookup process or in case of any issues.
The technician is available from 8.00 until 22:00
Users need to have their own cable, we suggest 50m (better even more!)
Please note that petrol/diesel power generators are NOT ALLOWED in the camp. The noise is disturbing other campers and also inhabitants of Tolmin who live nearby the campsite. Being respectful to the local community is very important in order to keep this festival location.
For your convenience and improved festival experience, we will have the Butik Festival 2023 App.
With a simple tap, you'll get access to the festival map, timetable, artist details, daytime activities schedule, and more.
Remember to allow push notifications, this will keep you informed about any changes, updates or announcements during the festival. No more missing out on sudden schedule changes or surprise performances.
The app is not obligatory, but we believe it will be a handy tool for navigating the festival more smoothly. So why not give it a try? Download the Butik Festival 2023 App here.
Butik Festival, in collaboration with Punk Rock Holiday and Overjam Reggae Festival, takes pride in contributing to our local community through the 'Festival Fund' initiative. This is where we donate all unspent money left on paycards after the festival to support various NGOs chosen by our local community.
In 2022, we were able to donate 13,000€, supporting a diverse array of causes - from rescue dogs, the local football club, breast cancer awareness organization, firefighters, association for helping people with disabilities, model gliders to humanitarian organizations for the underprivileged.
When we say 'we donated', we're acknowledging that you, the People of Butik, are a vital part of this initiative. Your leftover paycard funds are now actively helping these organizations, so thank you for joining us in this initiative last year.
The Festival Fund initiative is something that brings us immense joy, seeing the positive impact it has on so many lives. Rest assured, we will continue this tradition in future events, spreading smiles and making a difference where it matters most.
Go to FESTIVAL APP and download our app to see the festival map. Alternatively, you can click here.
For your safety and well-being, we provide a First Aid Point that operates 24 hours a day during the festival. It will be open from Wednesday, 12th of July at 16.00 until Monday, 17th of July at 9.00, ensuring round-the-clock service.
The First Aid Point is more than just for emergencies, it's there to make sure your health needs are taken care of throughout the festival.
At Butik Festival, you'll find an assortment of food stands, ready to cater to your varying dietary needs. Our food vendors are providing quality meals, including options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets.
Water is essential, especially during the festival. To ensure you stay hydrated, we've placed water stations all over the festival grounds. You're encouraged to bring your own empty bottles to the campsite for refilling.
Please take a minute and read how garbage deposit works and why it is important.
The garbage deposit is a system implemented at Butik Festival where campsite attendees are required to provide a monetary deposit upon arrival. This deposit serves as an incentive for festival-goers to properly dispose of their waste by returning full garbage bags to designated points. By implementing the garbage deposit, the festival aims to maintain a clean and litter- free environment, preserving the natural beauty of the festival and its surroundings.
- How does it work?
The garbage deposit is required for campsite attendees at Butik Festival.- Upon arrival, campers will receive 2 trash bags.
- Load your festival PayCard with 50€ or 100€.
- 15€ will be deducted from your PayCard for the garbage deposit (10€) and the PayCard deposit (5€).
- Return full garbage bags to designated points to receive a 10€ reload on your PayCard. Check out GARBAGE CENTER OPENING HOURS.
- At the end of the festival (Sunday 23.30), return your undamaged PayCard to receive 2€ back in cash, with a 3€ service commission fee retained.
- What if I am not staying at the campsite?
If you're staying elsewhere, present your reservation proof upon arrival to avoid the garbage deposit.
Proactively share your accommodation details and proof to prevent any misunderstanding. - Why is this so important?
Butik Festival takes place in a beautiful location on the edge of Triglav National Park.
To preserve the festival and campsite areas, it's crucial to prevent them from becoming a landfill.
Maintaining cleanliness enhances the festival experience and ensures a positive relationship with the local community, who are strict about keeping nature clean.
At Butik Festival, we prioritize cleanliness and environmental consciousness. To facilitate waste disposal, we have established a Garbage Center with the following operating hours:
Friday, July 14th: 16:00 - 20:00
Saturday, July 15th: 16:00 - 20:00
Sunday, July 16th: 10:00 - 23:00
Remember to dispose of your trash responsibly during these times. Let's keep our festival environment clean and enjoyable for everyone!
Our festival site is located at Dijaška 18, 5220 Tolmin. Here are a few ways you can reach us:
By Bus: For Slovenian buses, please visit this site. The final stop is Tolmin, which is within walking distance to the festival site. The bus route is direct.
By Train: For Slovenian trains, check out Slovenske Železnice. The final station is Most na Soči. From there, you will need to either take a taxi to the festival site or catch a bus for a short 10-minute ride. Please note that you may have to change trains in Jesenice.
By Airport Shuttle: We have an airport shuttle service available. Please refer to our SHUTTLE SERVICE section for more details.
By Car: If you're driving from Ljubljana, we recommend taking the route via Nova Gorica (more highway) or Idrija (windy road). Please refer to our PARKING section for information on where to park your car.
As a sustainable initiative, if you don't have all seats occupied, we encourage you to offer a ride to other festival-goers. Not only does this save money and protect the environment, but it's also a great opportunity to make new friends!
Besides cold showers and chemical toilets, the festival also offers a sanitary center with hot showers and flush toilets. Since there is very little permanent infrastructure on-site, we cannot provide this service for all festival-goers. This is why the sanitary center is available at extra cost.
Whether you desire one-time access or a festival pass, you can conveniently purchase your sanitary center pass directly at the sanitary center itself during the festival.
Prices:
- One-time access: €2.5
- Festival pass (unlimited access throughout the festival): €10

Please note that an official medical certificate will be demanded upon your arrival.

Just a friendly reminder that entry to the festival is not possible outside box-office hours. We don't want you to spend the night waiting outside!

If you know in advance that your arrival may be outside these hours, please reach out to us at info@butikfestival.com. We'll do our our best to assist you.
Lockers equipped with an electricity plug for device charging can be pre-ordered or obtained at the festival's info point. Given the limited number of lockers, we recommend pre-ordering to guarantee availability. While we typically have enough lockers to meet demand, it's best to secure yours in advance to be on the safe side.
They will be located near the info point in the campsite area. Two sizes are available for your preference:
- Small (14 cm x 14 cm x 50 cm) - priced at 20€
- Large (28 cm x 14 cm x 50 cm) - priced at 30€
The price covers the duration of the entire festival.
To access your locker, collect the keys from the info point. Please note that a key deposit of 10€ is required, which will be refunded upon the return of the key.
For pre-orders please click click here.
Please note, while we're allowing festival-goers to stay in the campsite until Monday for some extra rest, other festival infrastructures, including the PayCard system, will shut down on Sunday. Ensure to resolve all PayCard-related activities (garbage deposit return, money return, cups deposit return, locker key deposit return) before then.
The municipal inspection will check the festival site's condition on Monday. Therefore, we strictly need to clear the campsite of festival infrastructure by Monday at 11AM.
If you find any items, please leave them at the festival's info point. Similarly, if you lose something, you can leave a note with the staff so they can contact you if your item is found.
After the festival, we post pictures of lost & found items on our social media channels. If you are still missing something, you can reach out to us at info@butikfestival.com. We will respond as soon as possible to assist in recovering your lost items.

At Butik Festival, we will have a small yet captivating selection of marketplace vendors. These select few vendors will offer an intriguing variety of items, thoughtfully picked to add an extra layer of interest to your festival experience.
Please note, however, that these marketplace vendors operate on a cash-only basis. While the festival PayCard is a convenient way to pay for most things within the festival grounds, it cannot be used for purchases at the marketplace. So make sure to have some cash handy when you visit our vibrant vendor area.
We know that managing finances during a festival can be a bit tricky. You might load up your PayCard, then find at the end of your Butik Festival adventure that you didn't spend all your credit. Not to worry, we've got you covered!
If you've got leftover funds on your PayCard, it's a simple process to get your cash back. Just head over to any cashier on the festival grounds. They'll be able to check the remaining balance on your card and give you the equivalent amount in cash.
Please note that throughout the festival, at least one PayCard station will always be open for your convenience. On the final day, Sunday, we'll convert the main bar into a PayCard return station, operational from 12:00 to 23:30.
Remember, it's absolutely essential to manage your money return before Sunday at 23:00. The festival ends after this point, as the paycard system shuts down.
Lastly, any unclaimed funds left on PayCards will contribute to the FESTIVAL FUND, an initiative we've set up with Punk Rock Holiday and Overjam Reggae Festival. These funds are donated to local NGOs chosen by the community, ensuring any unspent money continues to do good even after the festival ends.
Parking is located next to the main entrance, a 5-minute walk from the camping and festival area.
Price:
- Preorder: 25€ (full festival)
- On site: 30€ (full festival)
For campervans there is special parking provided closer to the festival area - see CAMPERVANS.
At Butik Festival, we utilize a cashless payment system to ensure a seamless and secure festival experience for all. Here's all you need to know about our PayCard system.
Receiving and Depositing
When you arrive at the festival, you will receive a PayCard, which is recommended for every festivalgoer. A deposit of 5€ is required upon receiving the card. Upon returning the undamaged PayCard to one of our PayCard points at the end of the festival, 2€ will be returned to you. Please note that a 3€ service commission fee will be retained.
PayCard Working Hours
The Butik Festival offers several PayCard points scattered across the festival grounds, each with varying working hours. Regardless of the time, there will always be at least one PayCard point open to assist with your needs.
However, it's critical to remember that all PayCard points will stop operation by Sunday at 23.30. If you plan to request a refund from your PayCard, ensure this is done prior to the closing time. Once the PayCard points are closed, we cannot process any further refunds.
For detailed information about each PayCard point, including its specific location and operating hours, please refer to our official Butik FESTIVAL APP. The app will provide you with an easy-to-navigate map and comprehensive information to make your festival experience as seamless as possible.
Loading Your Card
The PayCard can be loaded with cash or card, and the minimum initial load is 50€, while the maximum is 200€. Any additional reloads should be between 10€ and 200€.
Spending Limit and Refunds
Your PayCard is your exclusive payment method within the festival, with the exception of festival merch and market place vendors, which can be bought with cash. If you don't spend all your money and would like a refund, simply approach a cashier, and the remaining amount on the PayCard will be returned to you in cash.
Lost card
If you happen to lose your PayCard or it becomes non- functional due to damage, don't worry! We have a system in place to resolve this issue.
As an important first step, we strongly advise you to take a single photo of both your ID and PayCard together, immediately upon receiving and loading the PayCard. Make sure that your ID number and details, as well as the PayCard, are clearly visible in the same photo. This is crucial because in the case of a lost or damaged card, you can present this photographic proof at a PayCard point. Our staff will then issue you a new card. The old one will be promptly blocked, and any remaining balance will be transferred to your new PayCard.
In case you don't have the photo proof, there's still an option for you. Bring two receipts you received when you used your PayCard, and you can get a new card at a cashier. Our staff will transfer your remaining balance to the new card. However, if you don't have either of these two proofs - the photo or the two receipts, you'll need to get a new card, and we won't be able to transfer any remaining balance from the old card to the new one.
Responsibility
As an authorized user, you are responsible for all transactions made with your PayCard, even if you let someone else use it. We encourage everyone to keep their cards safe and to check their transaction receipts regularly.
Confidentiality
Your information is secure with us, and we will only disclose it when necessary, like to complete transactions, to comply with legal requirements, or to our service providers and employees as needed.
Please be aware that reusing PayCards from previous festival years is not possible.
There will always be at least one PayCard point operational around the festival area, starting from Wednesday at 15:00, all the way through to Sunday at 23:30.
For detailed info about each PayCard point, check our FESTIVAL APP.
Dogs and other animals are NOT permitted in the festival or campsite area. Anyone who tries to disobey this rule will be removed from a festival area with revoked access, without any further explanation. Please behave responsibly towards your animal companion and leave them at home (or in any other dog hotel or care, that will provide them with the care they need).
Applications for media accreditation for Butik Festival 2023 are CLOSED.
To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment at the Butik Festival, we've outlined some important guidelines on what you can and can't bring onto the festival site. We want to create a friendly and safe environment for all, so please respect these rules.
We kindly ask that you leave the following items at home as they're strictly not allowed on the festival site: cans, bottles, hard drugs, objects that could be used as projectiles, knives, weapons, or any items that could potentially be used as a weapon. These items will not, under any circumstances, be permitted into the festival area. We have strict checks in place, and any found items will be confiscated.
However, we understand that basic items like cutlery are essential for those camping with us. You're absolutely welcome to bring these to the campsite, but please remember they are not permitted in the festival area.
Every visitor participates in the festival at his own risk. Besides, every visitor is obliged to take action for the guarantee of his own safety. The visitor is also responsible for his property. The promoter, Butik Ent. d.o.o., is not liable for any lost or damaged property whatsoever. The promoter is also not liable for violations of the Slovenian law, thievery, injuries, or damages by third parties that happen in course of the festival.
Please follow the instructions of the security personnel and avoid senseless annoying actions so everybody will feel comfortable.
To ensure the safety of all attendees and staff, our security team will conduct bag checks at the festival entrance. Individuals found carrying prohibited items will have those items confiscated.
Your cooperation helps maintain a safe and enjoyable festival experience for everyone.
Our partner Markun Shuttle is offering a shuttle service from nearby airports (Venice, Trieste, Ljubljana, Zagreb) to the festival area. If you can't find the slot that suits you, send them an email. If there will be enough inquiries, they will do their best to add new slots. If you have any questions regarding shuttles, please contact Markun Shuttle directly.
More info available here .
For all your festival essentials, there are a few supermarkets, that are just a short distance away from our event. It's a pleasant 17-minute walk if you prefer to stretch your legs, or a quick 6-minute car ride for those in a hurry.
Please note that in Slovenia, all supermarkets and shops close on Sundays. So make sure to plan your shopping ahead of time to ensure you're fully stocked and ready to make the most of your festival experience.
Our festival site is probably the most spectacular location in Europe. It takes place in beautiful nature and is impacting the life of the small local community. This is why we want to do everything we can to respect nature and locals. Thank you for your cooperation. To read more about sustainability at Butik click here.
Swimming in the river is allowed, but everyone is doing it at their own risk. For your safety, we provide a professional lifeguard who is stationed at the main festival beach area throughout the festival. However, it's important to note that swimming during the night is strictly prohibited. We kindly ask all attendees to respect and adhere to this rule for everyone's safety.
There will be two taxis available at the time of the festival. We will post the taxi drivers number on our social media days before the festival. Additionally, you can obtain these numbers from the festival's info point when you arrive.
As many of you will be flying to Butik and may not be able to bring a tent with you, we have decided to offer the option to rent a tent. Our aim is to discourage people from purchasing tents specifically for the festival and then discarding them afterwards.
The tents are already set up in a pleasant, shaded area when you arrive, even if you show up late, and there's no need to fold up the tent after the festival. We do require a €50 deposit in cash to secure your tent, which will be returned to you upon departure, provided the tent is left undamaged.
To ensure a smooth process, here's a step-by-step guide on what to do:
- Upon arrival at the festival, proceed to the info point.
- Show your rent-a-tent ticket to the staff.
- Pay the €50 deposit in cash (credit cards or festival cards are not accepted for this transaction).

Tickets for the Butik Festival 2023 are sold out. If you want to sell your ticket or you are looking for a ticket, please see TICKET RESALE.
DO NOT buy tickets from random people online. There are A LOT of scammers. Be careful. If someone has 3 likes on every photo on Facebook this doesn't make it a real person ;)
We do not offer ticket refunds, however, you can always sell your ticket through our official resale platform.
For resale check TICKET RESALE.
Your safety and peace of mind when purchasing tickets for the Butik Festival is our utmost priority. Hence, we've created an official ticket reselling platform. It's the one and only 100% secure avenue to purchase your festival tickets if the primary sales are sold out.
Beware of unverified ticket offers from random individuals posting on Instagram and Facebook comments, as we can't guarantee their authenticity. Remember, we don't have an official partnership with third-party platforms like Ticketswap, so buying tickets from such places is not 100% safe.
On our official reselling platform, when you purchase a ticket, you receive a new one with a unique barcode, and the seller's ticket is immediately invalidated or 'burnt'. This means you won't need to worry about anyone else having the same ticket as yours - your entry to the festival is assured!
Check out if there are any available tickets on our OFFICIAL RESALE PLATFORM.
At Butik Festival, we understand that ticket arrangements can change and sometimes tickets get passed on to others. As long as you have a valid ticket, you're good to go, regardless of the name it bears. We don't check if the name on your ticket matches your ID at the box office, as it's the unique code on the ticket that is key, not the name.
If you've purchased your ticket from a friend or through our official resale webpage, rest assured, your ticket is still valid.
Our festival's exact timetable is posted in our official Butik FESTIVAL APP, allowing you to plan your festival experience effectively. Here's a general overview of the music program for each day:
Wednesday: 16:00 - 01:00
Thursday: 14:00 - 01:00
Friday: 12:00 - 07:00
Saturday: 10:00 - 07:00
Sunday: 07:00 - 19:00
If you're interested in volunteering for the Butik festival, please complete the form available on this link. Your information will be added to our database of potential volunteers. We will review all submissions and contact the selected volunteers no later than May 15th. Thank you for your interest in working with us!
APPLICATIONS CLOSED.
At the festival and camp area, running clean water is provided free of charge. Please look for the sign that the water is drinkable before you refill your own bottles (water in Slovenia/Tolmin is very clean, however not all pipes are officially checked before the festival).
Please note that you are not allowed to bring any bottles to the venue area. You need to buy a bottle of water at the bars and after that refill it at the water points as often as you want. Please also note, that once you leave the venue and want to enter the venue again, you will not be allowed to bring the bottles back to the venue area!
